With reports of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launching in January at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, we expect more details and related images to surface in the coming months. After a short break due to a possible cancellation, we return to the discussion of the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition. It’s not too late even though it will be announced just a month before the Galaxy S22 series. There will always be a market for it as more and more people always want a more affordable alternative.
The latest from prolific leaker Roland Quandt is a set of images that show the Galaxy S21 FE’s back cover in different colors. Watermarks have been toned down so that images are clearer now.
The phone looks a lot like the standard Galaxy S21 and the Plus variant from the start of the year. The color options appear to be Gray, Purple, White, and Beige / Yellow. The pictures appear to be renders as well, but a reply to Quandt’s post indicated a listing on Headlane UK. The page shows the back and battery cover of SAMSUNG SM-G990 aka Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in gray.
Presumably the back cover will be plastic like in previous Fan Edition phones. Samsung needs to make the back cover out of plastic to make the phone more affordable. The South Korean tech giant is not compromising on other components. The Galaxy S21 FE is still expected to come with high-end specs and features.
Another source has share not renderings but practical photos. You can see the inside of the cover and the three holes for the cameras plus the LED flash. The page does not tell us anything new but confirms the gray color which is not really rare.
Expect more details to be made public in the coming weeks and until the product’s official launch at CES in January. Those deleted Galaxy S21 FE support pages may also be back as soon as production resumes and Samsung prepares for the announcement.
